Fair Use

Explain the concept of fair use in your own words? How do you think you can you apply fair use to you work that you create in this class?

    Fair use is a way of using copyrighted material without paying for it or getting permission that doesn't violate the copyright. Using copyrighted material is only considered fair use if used for educational purposes, news reporting, criticizing and commenting, and parody or comedy.

    I may be able to apply fair use to the educational material we make through the addition of citations and images or to make a parody. By adding additional information to educational material I make, It would be fair use if I were to use copyrighted material as a part of that informative process. I believe that making a parody is something that we have to look forward to in this class and so I would be able to apply fair use in that situation too.
