Iron Man Without Music

Without music, how does the scene feel to you?  Why?  What aspects seem missing?  How do you think having music change this scene?

Without music, the scene feels raw; there's greater emphasis on the other SFX and, in this case, it adds a more immersed feeling to the scene. This is because of the setting as war is a very real subject that can still illicit feelings of fear and anxiety just through the diegetic sound alone. However, the scene wasn't designed this way and thus there are lulls and moments where it feels too empty. Notably, when Tony Stark gets caught in the explosion nearing the end of the scene, the moment feels too quiet and awkward without much sound besides the sound of very muffled gunshots. Additionally, this is a superhero movie which typically is more focused on the action and adrenaline rather than the real fears of war. I feel that the music of the original scene would have emphasized those feelings as opposed to the emotion of the scene without music.
